Cake Mix Mini Donuts Recipe

Cake mix mini donuts recipe with flavors: cream cheese with crumbled oreo, strawberry rainbow, and double chocolate

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 chocolate cake mix
  • eggs
  • vegetable oil or butter
  • water
  • 1 strawberry frosting
  • 1 chocolate frosting
  • 1 cream cheese frosting
  • 120 ml milk approx.
  • sprinkles
  • 8-10 Oreo cookies crushed


  • 2 Mini donut tins or mini bundt cake tin


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. Prepare the cake mix batters (chocolate and yellow cake) according to the package. Amount of ingredients will be on the back of the package.

  3. Grease the tin and fill it with the mixture using a spoon or piping bag. Place it in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. In the mean time grease and fill the second tin. After the first is done place the second tin in the oven. Let the first batch cool in the tin for a few minutes and then take it out and let the donuts cool on a cooling rack. Keep doing this for the remaining batter.

  4. In a bowl, add the strawberry frosting and while mixing gradually add (approx.) 60 ml milk until you get a creamy frosting. Set aside and do the same for the chocolate frosting. 

  5. Dip the upper part of the yellow cake donuts in the strawberry frosting. Sprinkle the rainbow on top. For the other half add the cream cheese frosting with a knife. Sprinkle the crushed Oreos on top. Dip the chocolate donuts in the chocolate frosting and add the rainbow sprinkles on top. 

  6. Serve with a smile!
