Preheat the over to 180 degrees and lightly butter a baking dish
In a large bowl beat the eggs and sugar with an electric mixer on high until thick and light of color. Add then the vanilla.
Turn the mix to low speed and add the flour first, then the baking powder and finally the salt.
With a spatula fold the melted butter into the mixture.
Pour batter into baking dish and bake until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, around 30 minutes.
In another bowl mix together the milk. Poke the cake with a wood skewer and pour half of the mixture over the top and let it absorb for 5 minutes. Pour the rest of the mixture and let it absorb again. Let the cake rest for 1 hour.
Before serving slice the top part of the cake to even it out. Lay fruits on top and sprinkle with sugar.
