So, we have this great division of tasks that have been working for years, but the power struggle arises when he creates an amazing dish that becomes a favorite. That’s what happened when he created this shrimp pasta recipe with herb cream cheese.
A recipe for four people became a recipe of three because I loved it so much that I served myself twice. I already had a favorite shrimp recipe, so I really didn’t expect for this shrimp pasta recipe with herb cream cheese to become my new favorite. It took me a whole 5 minutes of weird faces before I could admit that I really loved his dish.
Often, when he makes something delicious I try to recreate it and publish it here. But, not before he taste it and tell me that it is better than his version. However, every time I publish one of his recipes he starts bragging like his life depend on it. I expect no less after I publish this shrimp pasta recipe with herb cream cheese. But, right now you’re probably asking yourself what makes this so-called shrimp pasta recipe with herb cream cheese so special? You see, the recipe consists of just a few ingredients, but it’s the simplicity and the herbs flavor of the cream cheese that makes it so tasty. You can whip this dish up in less than 15 minutes and you’ll still be serving an exquisite dish. Add some basil and parmesan cheese and serve it to your guests. You can also add red pepper flakes if you want to add some spiciness to it.

- 400 gr spaghetti
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic
- 600 gr jumbo fresh or frozen raw shrimp peeled, tails removed
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 150 gr herb cream cheese
- 2 tbsp dried basil
- 2 tbsp oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese garnish
- fresh basil garnish
cook 1 liter of water with salt and half of the olive oil. Add the spaghetti and cook them on medium heat till tender.
In the meantime, chop the tomatoes, onion, and garlic
Heat the rest of the oil with the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and shrimps and cook for 5 minutes. Add the onion and tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes more. Add the herb cream cheese, basil, oregano, and stir for a couple of times. Season with salt and pepper. Turn off the heat, add the pasta and mix it with the sauce.
Serve the dish with some fresh basil leaves and grate some cheese on top.
