perfect Sunday refreshment
We’ve recently bought a new BBQ and I’m testing out recipes for Backyard Parties. This Passion Fruit Lemonade recipe surely made the cut. Since I often make alcoholic drinks to pair with my dishes I decided to try a simple non-alcoholic this time. Over here passion fruit is widely available in stores year around. My mom used to make the best passion fruit juice for me, which is why I now have an obsession with this fruit.
Can you imagine serving this lemonade on a hot summer day, or if you live in a place like mine, on a usual Sunday? It’s easy to make, so a good go-to recipe when you need something fast. Your guests will love this passion fruit lemonade when you serve them it. Best thing is that a full can beforehand for when you’re entertaining at home. Need more than 4 glasses than you easily tweak the passion fruit lemonade recipe to fit your needs.
A refreshing summer drink or just a recipe to create when you want a homemade juice.
- 250 ml passion fruit juice from approx. 8 fruits & without seeds
- 175 ml lemon juice freshly squeezed
- 475 ml water
- 200 ml simple syrup
In a pitcher add the passion fruit, lemon juice, water and simple syrup (simple syrup is dissolving 1 part sugar in 1 part boiling water and letting it cool down). Stir to combine and add more simple syrup if necessary.
Refrigerate to cool and serve over ice.
